Junior Cricket
As always we welcome any new members who would like to join the club - if you are interested in playing cricket for the village or if you know of anyone who is then please get in touch. Net practice sessions will begin on Thursday 8 April and will continue on each Thursday evening throughout the season.
We are particularly keen to continue the development of our junior section which we began last season with some very enjoyable and encouraging sessions. This is essential for the continuing survival of the club in years to come and to give young players the chance to join in. We are planning to run coaching sessions again for under 16’s on Sunday mornings from 10am during the season starting 2nd May. We cater for all age groups with ‘Kwik Cricket’ for the younger players up to full net practice for the older ones.
By the start of the season we will have four club members who have taken the UKCC level 1 coaching course and who are all CRB checked. Further training to level 2 is being taken during 2010. The club is YCB affiliated and has adopted the ECB Child Protection Policy.
